How to Find Your Wealth Corner
By Master Luo, Luopan Studio's AI feng shui guide · Updated November 2026
The wealth corner (財位, cai wei) is the spot in your home that feng shui links with money and opportunity. There are two common ways to find it, and you can use either.
Method 1: the bright wealth position (fastest)
- Stand just inside your front door, facing into the home.
- Look to the far corner diagonally across from the door. That is your wealth corner.
- If the door is in the middle of the wall, both far corners count.
Method 2: the Bagua map
- Draw a 3×3 grid over your floor plan, with the front door wall at the bottom.
- The back-left square is the Wealth & Abundance area (巽, Xun).
- Each room can have its own: stand at the room's door and find its back-left corner.
What to put in your wealth corner
- A healthy plant with round, coin-like leaves: jade plant, money tree, pothos.
- Good light: a lamp you turn on every evening.
- Something of value or meaning: a bowl of coins, a crystal, a wealth charm.
- Purple, green or gold accents.
What to keep out
- Trash cans, laundry piles and unpaid bills.
- Dead or dying plants.
- Broken things, and a bathroom door if you can help it (keep it closed).

In 2027, the year's prosperous 8 White star also sits in the Southeast of every home. Keeping that area bright and lived-in is a second, year-long wealth boost.
